hey ho, hey ho.

How's it going?  All is well here, other than having a little cold, and being quite tired, life is good!!  How much better does everything feel when the weather is beautiful!!

So exciting things....my housemate Maxine who I've spoken about before is coming to church on Sunday - it's a guest service and also a baptism, I can't wait, she's gonna love it.  Also weirdly loads of people will already know who she is so that's exciting!!  Also she's definitely coming to Alpha, woo hoo!! Come on Jesus!!!  Also, my 2 course mates have said they'll come to Alpha too!!  It's so great man, I have faith that one day soon all 3 of them will come to know Jesus!

Me and Maxine started Kickboxing yesterday.  I did it during my A-levels but had to stop when I came to uni.  It is so fun tho man, and we did sparring and everything!! Well good fun!!  My lectures this term are so far well good!! I'm well excited about them!!  One of my courses is on slavery in Africa and North America, it's so interesting!!  And goes really well with what i'm doing my long essay on which is race-relations post World War Two.  So good!! I'm so glad I love my course, it makes reading so much more fun! 

This weekend is largely unplanned.  Tonight we're doing a bottle drop again, this time just till about 2am, advertising for student Alpha, woo woo!!  So i'll probably have a wee lie in tomorow and then crack on with some reading etc.  Sunday is busy with church, then probably out for a celebratory meal (my friend Rachel's baptism) and then maybe come home for a couple of hours before leadership training. Rocking!

God has just been so awesome recently.  The devil was well trying to get in there with Maxine in particular, and also Laura and Lauren a little bit.  I decided to fast and pray cos I just felt like all the stuff that's happened and brought them all nearer to God was just getting destroyed.  Anyway, so yeah was just praying and God gave me Isaiah 43 v 13 which in the NLT is "From eternity to eternity I am God.  No one can oppose what I do, No one can reverse my actions."  I just really prayed over that for ages.  Its just so good cos it showed that God's brought Maxine so far already, he's not gonna reverse it, and the devil is not gonna successfully oppose it!  So then he properly sorted everything out woo woo!! Taught me not to lean on my own efforts and think of it all as what i've done, but see it as God's work, for his glory.

Hmm....some of those were rubbish!! Oh well!!

So had an introductory lecture today, haha, so I don't have 4 hours a week anymore, I have 6 - RIDICULOUS!!! But get this....as of 15th March, I only have 2 hours a week!! SCORE!!  and I'll also have a 5 day weekend, mwah ha ha history rocks!!

ANd we have a house, oh man, it's beautiful, i'm well happy with it.  ANd the landlord is a Irish dude, 2 of my friends have him as their landlord this yr, and they love him, woo woo!!  Tis expensive tho, but they all are really now, they've all been put up loads...some by £10 a week!!

Tonight is CU, I'm drumming, it's the first one back since Christmas, so should be ROCKING!!  Oh and I've been given the position of "praise secretary" on the CU exec, so that's exciting.  I know it'll be quite hard work, but the rest of the exec are awesome, it's gonna be a very exciting year I feel!

I well needed a nap earlier, but i'm ok now, don't know whether to have one or not, hmmm. Keep getting really tired at the mo from too many stupid late nights!! I hate it man, tiredness is so tiring!!!

I was getting well excited, because there's this well old Odeon Cinema (well actually I don't think its THAT old, just all decrepid) in Withington.  I pass it everyday when I walk anywhere.  It's one of those really arty places, I really wanted to go take pictures of it. Anyhoo, so they started doing stuff to it, and I thought they might re-open it or something.  Evidently not, they just put up a mahussive Bill-board with a wonder-bra advert on it.  RUBBISH!!

I don't know if you can see it very well, but found this photo of beautiful Withington.  The cinema is that white building to the right of the yellow pub.  Beautiful Withington!  I spy a UK North Bus in the picture, woo woo!! OR is it a bullock?! Oh my word Connolly you're so boring!!

colour, frisbee and houses

hey all.  Sorry for the lackage of postage.  Hazel's party was really fun, everyone came dressed all in one colour....the pictures are really random!!  It was really fun, we played loads of stupid games, and just chilled out really, was good man!

This is Miriam Woo and Dave (a dude from starbucks - man we go there so much!!) - he came and gave Hazel a starbucks apron, beautifully modelled by Miriam!

Yeah so the day after, us girlies all went to the park cos it was such a beautiful day, and had our first frisbee sesh of the year! woo woo!!!  I took pics but can't be bothered to upload anymore!!  We had a good dinner, and then went off to label up 600 bottles of water with CU events and then at 12-3ish went to the Union to give them out to people as they came out of the post-exam party!  It was so good, we had well good conversations with people about God, and hopefully a lot of them will have woken up with the bottles and might come along to one of the events.  Got to bed well late tho and was pretty tired at church on sunday!

Went to see a house yesterday, one of my friends houses, which they're moving out of.  Its so beautiful man, the rooms are well nice.  It's just quite expensive so hopefully we'll be able to afford it, and get it before anyone else snaps it up!!!
